New Table Column Sets K from item
No electricity, just a crank – the item Work Bench System has been expanded to include new Table Column Sets that operate on a purely mechanical basis. By combining them with a table top of your choice, you can create work benches with a really straightforward height-adjustment system that are ideal for use in industrial production. There are two variants to choose from, so the bench design can be perfectly adapted to requirements.
It’s not only in offices that height-adjustable desks are beneficial. Custom adjustable work benches can also improve working conditions in industrial production. For example, if several employees use the same bench at different times, they should be able to adjust it to suit their height in just a few simple steps. What’s more, when tasks are constantly changing in production, workflows are being reorganised, and parts of varying size and shape are being processed, staff need a flexible system they can modify fast, as and when necessary. Ultimately, ergonomically optimised work benches take some of the strain off employees, make it easier for them to concentrate, and thus help boost productivity. It is against this backdrop that item has developed the new Table Column Sets K, which feature mechanical height adjustment using a crank. The four table columns can be extended by up to 300 mm. Two different versions are available for designing work benches. Table Column Set 8 80x40 K can be used to design customised tables and is wholly compatible with the item Building Kit System. Table Column Set D40/D30 K is based on Profile Tube System D30 and is ideal for creating lightweight work benches that use few materials – quite in keeping with the lean philosophy. When combined with appropriate profiles and a suitable table top, these sets can be assembled to create solutions in whichever size is required. On both sets, the ergonomic height-adjustment system uses a manual crank drive that synchronously transfers power to a tube that runs inside the frame.
Whether for lightweight table frames and mobile tables or sturdy workstations, the new Table Column Sets K represent a useful addition to the item Building Kit System when it comes to the custom design of work bench systems. The Table Column Sets make it possible to construct work benches that can carry a maximum load of 120 kg, accommodate table tops of up to 1800 mm x 1800 mm and be coordinated perfectly with existing production processes.
